 Our Board

Alison Woods, Chair

Over the years I have worked for a wide variety of performing arts companies – including Brith Gof and Narodno Pozoriste Subotica, The Royal Court in London, and Theatr Felinfach in West Wales, and am currently Executive Director of NoFit State Circus.

Likes: marzipan; the music of Jan Garbarek; the poetry of Marina Tsvetaeva; sitting on the top of a mountain and enjoying the view.

Dislikes: boats; the Beatles; Philip Roth; climbing the mountain to get to the view.

Jason Camilleri

I have been involved in the arts world for over 20 years, as a performer, radio presenter, and as a facilitator. I have delivered lyric-writing and music production workshops for young people as a freelance artist, and have also worked extensively in the Creative Learning and Community teams of Sherman Theatre, as well as volunteering with Theatre Versus Oppression. I am now the Creative Learning Senior Producer at the Wales Millennium Centre. Being a trustee for Fio means that I get to return to a former passion of theatre whilst championing diversity in the arts.

Samuel Jolapamo

Samuel manages MFP Services Ltd, a finance and reporting consultancy. He was previously Finance Director at Quidnet Capital Partners LLP and has held other senior finance positions at Funds, Private Equity Managers and Real Estate Trusts including Hermes Investment Management and MGPA. Joe Redmond

I joined Fio as a trustee in 2018 when after 10 years as a youth and community worker, I started a new career in funding with the Big Lottery. I bring a vast amount of community development experience and contacts to my trustee role. In addition to paid-work, I am also an active anti-racism campaigner in my spare time!

My main goal at the moment is to give MPs access to good quality information to guide their decisions as the country faces some momentous choices. I’ve always loved theatre, and I’m a passionate believer in diversity in the arts and in all parts of society, so it’s a real privilege to be a trustee of this great company.
